Spiced Chai Lactation Marshmallows

Marshmallows aren't just a sweet treat—they can actually be a source of wellness when made with high-quality gelatin. Gelatin, derived from collagen, is rich in amino acids like glycine and proline that support skin elasticity, joint health, and gut repair. For pregnant and postpartum women, these benefits are especially powerful: gelatin can aid in tissue healing after birth, support strong hair and nails, and help with the body’s natural recovery process. Plus, it’s gentle on digestion—perfect for sensitive systems. So yes, you can have your marshmallow and heal with it too!

Ingredients
@oatmama Lactation Chai Spice tea bags
1 1/4 cup water, divided
¼ cup gelatin powder
3/4 cup maple syrup
1-2 tsp vanilla

Directions
Steep 2 Chai tea bags in hot water 1 1/4 cup hot water. Let cool. Add ½ cup cooled tea to a mixing bowl and add gelatin, whisking gently to combine. Allow the gelatin to ‘bloom’ in warm water for a few minutes. Boil the remaining 3/4 cup tea with the 3/4 cup maple syrup in a saucepan and bring to boil, whisking continually. Add in vanilla. Pour mixture and gelatin into a bowl (ideally the bowl attached to a stand mixer). Whisk for 12-15 minutes until the mixture is light and fluffy (ideally 4 times its original size). Line a baking dish with parchment paper and pour mixture in, smoothing it out with spatula. Let rest for at least 4 hours at room temperature before cutting into marshmallow shapes. Store in Tupperware on countertop for up to a week (if they last that long).
