There’s something about those first sips in the morning that just set the tone for the whole day...and this homemade pumpkin spice syrup makes it even better. It's rich, warmly spiced, and just the right amount of sweet. We love swirling it into a hot cup of coffee or, our personal favorite, drizzling it generously into a homemade chai latte made with Oat Mama’s Lactation Spice Chai. (Trust us, that combo is magic.)
Simple, nourishing ingredients come together in minutes, and you’ll have a cozy fall-inspired syrup ready to elevate your mornings (and afternoons... and let’s be honest, dessert too).

Homemade Pumpkin Spice Syrup
Ingredients:
- 1 cup water (plus more for desired consistency)
- ½ cup date sugar (or your favorite sweetener)
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- 4 tablespoons pumpkin puree
- 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
- Pinch of sea salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions:
- In a small saucepan, combine all ingredients except the vanilla extract.
- Warm the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it begins to bubble and the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low (or low if your stove runs hot) and let it gently simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Allow the syrup to cool completely. Give it a good stir, then transfer it to a clean, airtight jar or container.
Store in the refrigerator for up to a week. Shake or stir before each use — natural separation is totally normal.
