A nourishing, St. Patrick’s Day-inspired treat made with Mama Power Protein
There’s something extra fun about a naturally green treat this time of year ☘️ These little chocolate cups are not only festive, they’re packed with ingredients that truly support your body, especially during postpartum and breastfeeding.
Dark chocolate is rich in magnesium (hello nervous system support), coconut oil provides quick energy and healthy fats, and pistachio or pumpkin seed butter delivers zinc, iron, and more magnesium, which are all essential minerals for recovery, hormone balance, and nourishing breastmilk.
And when you add Mama Power Protein Powder, you’re boosting these cups with clean protein to support tissue repair, stabilize blood sugar, and help you feel fuller longer (because let’s be honest… postpartum hunger is REAL).
These are the perfect little “grab from the freezer” treat when you need something sweet, satisfying, and functional.
Ingredients
-
1 cup dark chocolate chips
-
1 Tbs coconut oil, melted
-
8 tablespoons pistachio butter (or green pumpkin seed butter)
-
1 scoop Mama Power Protein Powder
-
Flaky sea salt (optional)
Instructions
-
Melt the chocolate.
Place the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth. -
Create the base layer.
Set out 8 silicone muffin molds. Add about ½ inch of melted chocolate to the bottom of each mold. Gently smooth into an even layer. Place in the freezer for about 10 minutes, or until firm. -
Mix the filling.
Stir the Mama Power Protein Powder into the pistachio (or pumpkin seed) butter until fully combined. -
Add the nut butter layer.
Once the chocolate base is firm, add 1 tablespoon of the protein nut butter mixture into each cup. Smooth gently. Freeze again for 10 minutes to firm up. -
Seal with chocolate.
Top each cup with about 1 tablespoon of remaining melted chocolate, spreading evenly to cover the filling completely. -
Finish + set.
Sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired. Return to the freezer for 10–20 minutes, until fully set.
Store in the freezer and let sit at room temperature for a few minutes before enjoying. They won't stick around long!
