A Warming Golden Chai for New Moms

The postpartum season is full. Full of love, learning, exhaustion, and constant care for someone else. In the middle of it all, warm and nourishing rituals can feel grounding. This Warming Golden Chai is one of our favorite ways to support new moms, pairing our Oat Mama Chai Spice Lactation Tea with a soothing golden milk made with turmeric and ginger.

It is simple to make, deeply comforting, and designed to support both body and mind.

Why Chai Spice Lactation Tea Is So Supportive for Breastfeeding Moms

Our Chai Spice Lactation Tea was created with new moms in mind. It combines traditional lactation-supporting herbs with warming chai spices that feel cozy and familiar. Many moms reach for it not only for milk support, but because it tastes good and feels comforting during a demanding season.

Warm beverages can help encourage hydration, which plays an important role in milk production. The gentle spices also support digestion and circulation, which can be especially helpful as your body recovers after birth.

The Benefits of Golden Milk Ingredients

Golden milk has been used for generations as a nourishing, grounding drink.

Turmeric is known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties and is often used to support overall wellness. A small pinch of black pepper helps the body absorb turmeric more effectively. Fresh ginger adds warmth and supports digestion. Ghee or butter provides healthy fats that help your body absorb nutrients, while honey adds a touch of sweetness and soothing comfort.

Together, these ingredients create a rich, calming base that pairs beautifully with chai spice tea.

Warming Golden Chai Recipe

¾ cup milk of choice
½ tsp turmeric
Pinch of freshly cracked black pepper
½ tsp freshly grated ginger
½ tsp ghee or butter

Optional cinnamon
Optional collagen for added protein

Instructions
Add the milk, turmeric, black pepper, ginger, ghee, and honey to a small saucepan.

While the milk warms, steep the chai spice lactation tea bag in hot water.
Pour the golden milk into your mug, then top with the brewed tea.
Add cinnamon or collagen if desired and stir well.

A Small Moment of Care

This golden chai is a reminder to slow down, even briefly. Enjoy it during an afternoon break or as part of a calming evening routine. Take a few deep breaths, wrap your hands around the warm mug, and let yourself be taken care of too.

Because caring for yourself is part of caring for your baby.
